The Truth Behind the Monday Blues

There is no person who has not complained, at least once in their life, about the fact that it is Monday. Monday is the epitome of bad things in the world, the beginning of the week, when no grass grows, and we are all in the mood of doing absolutely nothing… not even smiling.

It would seem that Monday blues is not a joke or an exaggeration. However, specialists put this feeling exclusively on the account of changes in our sleeping rhythm (we tend to sleep more during the weekend) and the necessity of making social adjustments to get back to normal (where “normal” refers to the regular schedule of our working days).

Here are a few things you may not knew about Mondays.
·        Most people do not smile until 11:16 am.
This reality has been revealed by a study conducted by British researchers.
·        Over 50% of people are late at work, on Monday
Some say they could not get out of their beds or report being unusually slow on Monday morning.
·        Productivity at the minimum
Even if employees arrive at work in time, they lack motivation, concentration and are expected to be productive for only 3-4 hours.
·        12 minutes of complaining
In total, every Monday we complain about 12 minutes because… well, it is Monday…
·        The favorite day for suicide
Statistics reveal that most of the suicides unfortunately happen on the first day of the week.

If you or someone you know is feeling suicidal, please schedule an appointment with a Christian counselor Denver therapist for immediate caring services.
