Summer Celebrations in Littleton, CO
Independence Day is a holiday that Americans like to spend
with friends or family, by having picnics and grills, and celebrating the idea
of political freedom. Activities associated with this day include food
contests (eating watermelons, pies or delicious hamburgers), sport events and
games for all ages.
The American flag is proudly displayed all over the place
and spectacular fireworks are a tradition, often accompanied by patriotic
music.
The inhabitants of Littleton also express their gratitude
each year for their freedom and rights, for which the first generation of
Americans used to fight.
The Family Festival
& Fireworks is organized every year, on July 4, at Cornerstone Park. It
starts at 3:00 pm and ends at 10:00 pm, with the fireworks show. It is a free
event, organized together with the City of Englewood, and includes concerts,
outdoors activities and games, concessions and food.
It is a family-friendly celebration, where drinking alcohol
and bringing your own fireworks or sparklers are prohibited.
There is also the annual Firefall fireworks concert, organized at the Hudson Gardens &
Events Center in Littleton. Tickets can also be purchased online.
Littleton’s Red,
White & You is another event, which starts on July 1, being organized
at Clement Park. It offers exhibitor
booths, food, adult beverages and a fireworks display, at 9:30 p.m.
Despite all the fun summer activities, sometimes one can feel lonely, even in a crowd of happy people. If you find yourself feeling lonely, helpful Littleton counseling professionals are available to help you find inner peace and fulfillment.
